Exploding covey, with each bird flying fast and taking an elusive
path--no pen raised birds or box hunts here. We flush wild quail in
natural habitat for a great hunting experience. Mexico offers quail
hunting that can only be matched in a few parts of the U.S. The
quail here are Bobwhites, the same species as found in the
southeastern U.S.
Most of our hunts for wild quail are along fencerows, over cut grain
fields and on untended open range. We also hunt along the areas
vast network of irrigation canals and abutting farmlands. With
hunting rights to over 70,000 acres of prime quail habitat, this is
upland hunting like seldom experienced.

The indigenous grasses to this part of
Mexico provide excellent cover and maneuverability for the
quail. This and plentiful food sources allow the quail
population to flourish. The abundance of large coveys in
their natural, wild habitat leads to a great hunting
experience.
Working behind our professionally
trained English Pointers, each Quail Team is supported by
one of our new 4-wheel drive quail rigs. Our Quail Teams
consist of an experienced Quail Guide, a Dog-handler and two
veteran Assistants. The Team’s mission is to ensure a safe
and productive hunt.

Each quail rig carries 8 dogs to the field
so we can keep fresh legs on the ground. The Pointers set
the pace for excitement and are steady through the action.
The hunts are from the rig and on foot with expectations of
6 to 10 covey with each morning or afternoon hunt. Heart
pounding action in a setting of rolling hills and vistas of
distant mesas.
